Some people refer to this private burial ground as the Cornelison Cemetery, but from information received, this land was originally homesteaded by Sam Crawford. Mr. Crawford is buried in this cemetery.

Later, the first wife of Frank Cornelison, Roxie Crawford Cornelison, was buried here. There are seven or eight graves in this cemetery. The last person known to be buried here was a young girl, the sister of the second Mrs. Frank Cornelison name Vida Hilegeist. All the other graves are probably members of the Crawford family.
