The Arnold Family were early Greene County Arkansas pioneers. Two nucleus families settled by 1860 in Greene County, Absalom and Mary Arnold resided in Cache Township, and Thomas W. and Amanda Arnold settled in Union Township. Using primary sources, this genealogy attempts to trace their Arnold descendants who remained in Greene County.

Andrews Family of Greene County

Philip and Rebecca Andrews, early settlers in Arkansas from Kentucky, had a large family. By 1860, they had ten children. After Philip’s death in the 1860s, Rebecca became the head of the household. Their son John later married Catherine, and they had a child, continuing the family’s legacy in Greene County.
